    Your role and responsibilities
    As Clinical Director, you will share responsibility for the overall leadership of the practice and helping to drive forward clinical services, commercial performance, and team development and wellbeing. You will be passionate about delivering the best possible service and outcomes for patients, clients, and colleagues, and you will be responsible for line management of our veterinary team - an exciting and varied role. Clinically, you will enjoy a mix of, surgery, consultations, and in-patient care time with the opportunity for case continuity while building rapport with our lovely clients.
    We are keen to support a culture of growth and excellence, especially if you are working towards or currently hold a certificate relevant to small animal primary care practice.

    Oakhill Veterinary Centre was established over 50 years ago and is an independent primary care practice in Lancashire, with 3 sites. All our sites are just an hour’s drive from England’s Lake District, with first-class commuter links to Manchester and Liverpool, and easy access to the fantastic Lancashire countryside and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
    We are proud of our close-knit, supportive team, many of whom have 20 years of service! We are a 16 Veterinary Surgeon team with several certificate holders and further vets also working towards certificates including surgery.
    As a vet-owned independent practice, we recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of Oakhill. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do.   • Small Animal Night Nurse at Hook Norton Veterinary Group, Banbury, Oxfordshire

    Join our experienced HNVG night team on a favourable working pattern of 5 nights on (Monday to Friday) followed by 9 nights off, allowing for ample time to not only recharge your batteries but also to pursue your passions outside of work, giving you an excellent work life balance!
    We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care to our patients and have invested in a dedicated night team so we can provide continuous care 24 hours a day.  As a well-established, independent practice, we are renowned for our community spirit and being a local, reputable employer.
    Our well-respected nursing team are actively encouraged to fully utilise their skills and experience and get fully involved in looking after our patients.  At HNVG, you will be exposed to a varied and interesting caseload of both medicine and surgical cases, including emergency scenarios in our hospital.  The night team at Hook Norton are an integral part of our patient care, with ward rounds and handovers at shift change, we actively encourage the night team to be involved in making patient plans and adjusting them as needed during the night. As part of personal development, we fully support and encourage CPD including further certificates in different specialities.
    The ideal night Nurse candidate would:
    Have a minimum 1 years’ experience as an RVN.
    Have experience with intensive nursing within a GP or referral setting.
    Be able to work to high standards and use your own initiative.
    Hold a valid UK driving license and have your own transport due to rural location.
    You will be based at the Hook Norton Hospital where we have all the equipment and facilities needed to help the night team provide exceptional care including:
    Species-specific wards
    Isolation ward and equipment
    Diagnostic imaging suite
    Laboratory suite
    Two surgical theatres
    All the usual mod cons including ECG, Multiparameter monitors, Pulse Oximeters and portable ultrasound scanner for FAST scans.
    Excellent dog walking facilities.
    As a night Nurse, you will work alongside the night vet and also have support from a Nursing assistant for the twilight part of your shift. There are no phone duties included in your shift except patient updates as and when needed.
    NIGHT NURSE SALARY & REWARDS INFORMATION
    Our enticing terms and benefits include a 5 on/9 off rota, 12.5 hour shifts (6.45pm till 7.15am)
    Competitive night Nurse salary ranging from £32,000-£40,560 pro rota depending on experience

    We are an independent, mixed practice with separate pets, farm and equine departments with over 30 dedicated vets providing round-the-clock care.
    Our main branch at White Hills Surgery is a tier 3 Small Animal Hospital under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accreditation scheme. This means that we have passed rigorous inspections covering areas such as health and safety, hygiene, the provision of 24-hour cover and clinical governance. All departments have access to on-site laboratory facilities and diagnostic testing.
