This Autumn XLVets Small Animal will be running a cardiology initiative. The initiative aims to target two important areas to support pet owners - identifying 'at risk' pets and how to spot the signs and symptoms of heart disease.
Some heart disease may be present when the animal is born (congenital), however the majority of heart disease in dogs and cats develops during adult life, with some breeds being more likely to develop heart disease than others.
